I've been disappointed that the m29s seemed to drop out of existence in recent years in the US but I saw a few sizes at treats and actually found 2. it's a puch moped and those pivots seem fine now many years down the road. Front and rear fenders removed engine side covers removed Gold Grimeca 10 Razze aka 5 Star wheels Michelin M45 tires 17 x 2.25 Black low rise handlebars Lusito mag style brake levers Magura black mini lever Domino racer throttle assembly Black. I'd NEVER do this on a "real" motorcycle, since the end result is a less than perfect bearing alignment at the swing arm pivots, but with all respect. Tank, seat, rear cow/trunk, frame, center stand, forks, and covers under the tank/seat look to be original. If you can visualise this it takes less than an hour to accomplish. Open spreader by alternately wrenching nuts outward.

Clamp rear axle drop outs so that they CAN'T spread. Assembled the spreader on the arm where the rubber would rub without removing arm from bike. Two lengths of 1/2 threaded rod, two stout steel bars with 1/2 holes in ends, four nuts, two washers. I had to raise the front fenders about two inches and spread the swingarms with a quick and dirty diy spreading jig. Don't have odometer readings but they've been on over 5 yrs and the sidewalls will rot before the tread is unusable. It’s a bicycle size, because a 16 x 2.25 bicycle tire fits, but wider. Some modern electric scooters have an oddball size, 16 x 3.00. Modern moped-size (thin) tires, since the 1970’s, all use the motorcycle system, in the USA. Couple years ago I rotated them front/back. Older mopeds often have 2.25-18 (22 x 2.25) and 2.25-19 (23 x 2.25) tires. Fit the 2.25 rim without issue, feel stable and still very nimble, but most of all the just last forever. If it goes on the rim, looks OK, rides OK.it's OK for me.Ĭan't claim to have broad experience with brands of moped tires, but I've been extremely pleased with these. With the moderate speeds and forces these tires are going to see on a moped I don't worry excessively about "fitment". Both the 84s have Michelin m29s 2.75 x 17 mounted. did feel kind of "bicycle-ish" when I was riding it.

The 77 is stock with stock tires but a non running parts bike.
